I would hold a scientist to the scientific method. Hitchens is making a commentary. While his research might be suspect (I am not sure he was right for example about Gandhi) I am more interested in what he has to say on these topics because of his point of view.Timothy S. I found Hitchen untrustworthy as a researcher in 'God is Not Great'. I am used to reading science publications, and I ended up stopping about half way through - exceedingly rare for me. He asserted without enough evidence (in my opinion) - like a journalist, where the angle and the story, was more important than the facts. Reminded me of Michael Moore's style in Fahrenheit 9/11. It's why, though I generally support Michael Moore's side of politics, I can no longer watch anything he does. The Jovial Priesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00160018433070823408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356277961656468139.post-48757478168337854172012-04-09T17:52:30.719-05:002012-04-09T17:52:30.719-05:00Have you read A Higher Power by John Betcher. Some reviewers were put off that the question of God's existence wasn't answered, as though someone can make that decision for you.
Your comment about the last book you bought at Borders has me wondering now what I last bought there.
http://gail-baugniet.blogspot.com Theme: A World of CrimeGail M Baugniet - Authorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11543343067963247963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356277961656468139.post-36795662709220513192012-04-09T07:11:49.069-05:002012-04-09T07:11:49.069-05:00I haven't read Christopher Hitchens, but I hav...I haven't read Christopher Hitchens, but I have heard great things about it.
